Why should I get this bed?
Cats like to sleep. In fact, they spend an average of 16 hours a day sleeping so if anyone needs a good bed, it is our furry feline friends. They will always appreciate having a comfortable bed they can call their own. Even the most fussy cat will find it hard to resist one of those beds.
The bed is as comfortable as you would imagine sleeping on a giant marshmallow would be. The raised sides allow your cat to curl up surrounded by the outer ring of the bed.
What size should I choose for my cat?
Please refer to the ‘Sizing Information’ section for more info on what size to choose. When in doubt, aim for the larger size. If it’s too small, your cat will end up hanging over the edge.
Where should I put my cat’s bed?
If your cat has a favorite spot already, try placing the bed there. This is likely to be somewhere quiet, warm, and secure. If your cat prefers to sit and sleep in different places, you can start by putting the bed in one of those places and change it daily till you find a place where your cat will be most comfortable.
Is it possible that my cat won’t like the bed?
Some cats may be put off by the unfamiliar smell of the new bed. Try placing your cat’s favorite blanket onto the bed if they have one. You can also try putting some of their favorite toys into, or near the bed. You may also try the catnip trick. That’s likely to familiarize them with the new bed. Once they have tried the bed, they won’t leave it.
I tried placing one of my cat’s favorite belongings onto the bed, but still they won’t sleep in it. What should I do?
Be patient – sometimes cats will take a while to get used to a new bed, but once they become comfortable with it, they will be curious to try it out. In any case, don’t force your cat to sleep in the bed, as they will associate the bed with this stressful behaviour, and will be even less likely to sleep in it.
Is the bed machine washable?
The bed is machine washable on a gentle cycle and should be tumbled-dried on low heat after washing to avoid matting. It is hand washable as well.
I have had a negative experience in the past with one of those beds. How is your bed any different?
We design and manufacture our own cat beds in our partners’ factories in Austin, Texas. Although the name may be the same, the bed isn’t. Beware of low quality knock-offs on other sites with no padding or tracking.
